AOA offers the opportunity for medical students, junior doctors and unaccredited orthopaedic trainees to connect with mentors from AOA's diversity groups:
Orthopaedic Women's Link (OWL), the
Champions of Change Working Group, and the
Cultural Inclusion Working Group.
Our goal is to help individuals from under-represented groups in orthopaedics and connect them with mentors who are allies and understand and recognise differences as an opportunity to learn and can help mentees navigate their interest in a career in surgery and orthopaedics.
If you are an AOA trainee or recent AOA fellow interested in finding a mentor, please see the Younger Surgeon Mentoring Program.
