OWL Essay 2022
The Orthopaedic Women’s Link (OWL) and Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) invited all female medical students from Australian medical schools, interns and prevocational doctors who are not yet on the AOA training program and currently working in Australian hospitals, to enter the OWL Essay 2022.
We aim to promote gender diversity and provide a platform for communication to increase the representation of women in orthopaedic training, teaching, research and leadership, particularly with emerging doctors.
Topic: 'Give me a break and I'll fix it!'
Prizes
The overall winner will receive the following:
- Registration for a face-to-face local AOA state branch meeting. Registration will also include the social component of the state branch meeting.
- Up to one nights' accommodation (if required to facilitate attendance at the state branch meeting).
- The opportunity to present. showcase or display their essay at the local state branch meeting.
- Publication across member and public-facing AOA publications including the Bulletin, eNews, diversity webpages and AOA socials.
